Pingdom is being migrated into SolarWinds Observability
Pingdom customers are being moved onto a different, heavier platform whether they asked for it or not. SolarWinds' own migration documentation describes a rolling, per-account process: roughly 30 to 45 days after the first notification email, the account is fully replicated into SolarWinds Observability, followed by a further 30-to-60-day window where both platforms work side by side. Once that window is closing, Pingdom shows a notice that only 30 days of active monitoring remain; after that, Pingdom becomes read-only, viewable for historical data only, with all active monitoring required to move to SolarWinds Observability. The documentation states this migration is a one-time action that cannot be repeated, and that changes made in Pingdom after migration starts do not sync to the new platform.
For a buyer who wanted a simple uptime check and a status page, this is a forced move into a broader observability suite, on a timeline set by the vendor, not the customer. RealUptime status stays a single-purpose product: the monitor and the status page are the whole account, with no migration to schedule around.
