50% off Growth for 12 months

For early-stage startups, registered nonprofits, public open-source projects, and bootstrapped companies. One rule per segment, written below in full. Every application is read by a person and answered by email.

The terms

50% off the Growth plan, monthly or yearly, for 12 months from your first Growth invoice. After that, Growth bills at the list price on the pricing page. The discount applies to Growth only, not to Scale or the MSP plan, and the same rule applies to every segment below. There is no separate tier, no feature taken away, and no payout: it is the Growth plan at half price for a year.

Who qualifies

Startup
Less than two years old, and either under $1M raised or backed by a recognized accelerator. Evidence: a company registry entry, your accelerator cohort page, or a funding announcement.
Registered nonprofit
A registered nonprofit or charity in your country (for example a 501(c)(3), a UK registered charity, or the local equivalent). Evidence: your entry in the national register.
Open-source project
A public repository under an OSI-approved license, with the project's own infrastructure as what you monitor. Evidence: the repository URL; the license file must be visible there.
Bootstrapped company
Self-funded: no venture capital raised, and under $1,000,000 in trailing annual revenue. New RealUptime accounts only. Evidence: a link that shows your funding status (a company registry entry, an About/Team page stating you're bootstrapped) and, if revenue isn't public, a line in the note about it.

If your situation is close but not exactly one of these, apply anyway and say so in the note. The reviewer can use judgement; the rule is there so that you know what they are judging against.

Bootstrappers

Built the company on your own money, not a term sheet? The bootstrappers credit is 50% off Growth for 12 months for self-funded companies under $1,000,000 in revenue, stated plainly above under "Who qualifies." It is for new RealUptime accounts: apply before you sign up, with the email address you plan to use, and the discount is attached the moment you create the account and choose Growth.

It applies the same way across RealUptime's product line: RealUptime Status (status pages), RealUptime Monitor (uptime monitoring), and RealUptime errors (error tracking) all bill from the same Growth ladder, so the credit covers whichever of the three you pick for Growth. RealUptime outages, the free public "Is X down?" pages, stays free for everyone regardless of this program.

Apply

Use the email address of the RealUptime account the discount should apply to. No account yet? Apply with the address you will sign up with; the discount attaches when you do.

Which are you?

The register entry, accelerator page, funding announcement, or repository that shows you meet the rule.

What you will monitor, or context the link does not show. Up to 2,000 characters.

Questions

What exactly is the discount?

50% off the Growth plan, monthly or yearly, for 12 months from your first Growth invoice. After that, Growth bills at list price. It does not apply to Scale or to the MSP plan.

Who decides, and how long does it take?

A person on the RealUptime team reads the evidence link you provide and approves or declines against the rule for your segment. Most decisions go out within a few business days, by email.

Can I apply before I have an account?

Yes. Apply with the email address you will sign up with. When you create the account and choose Growth, the discount is already attached and shows on the checkout page before you pay.

Does it stack with RealUptime Complete or annual billing?

Yes. Annual billing is a separate axis (twelve months for the price of ten), and RealUptime Complete is a bundle discount for paying for two or three products. Stripe applies each discount it finds.

Is the bootstrappers credit different from the others?

Same discount, same review process, and applying before you have an account still works exactly as described above. The one difference: it's for new RealUptime accounts, so if the email you apply with already has an account, that application won't be approved under this program.

Also

Anyone, program or not, can refer another company: both accounts receive a $20 credit on the next invoice once the referred account pays its first invoice. Your referral link is in account settings under Referrals, and the rules are in the knowledge base.
